Shop Shabbat Candles

Shabbat candles are lit by Jewish women and girls 18 minutes before sunset on Friday afternoons or on the eve of Jewish holidays. They are lit on the following holidays: Shabbat, Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, Sukkot, Shermini, Atzeret/Simchat Torah, Passover, and Shavuot.

Shabbat candle lighting usually takes place in the dining room where a festive holiday meal will happen. These candles require holders that can keep the candle and flame in place during the festivities. At Forgotten Judaica, we offer bronze Shabbat candleholders that are perfect for festive holidays and Shabbat candle-lighting prayers.
