Hand Tzedakah Box
$1,450.00
Description
Modeled by Elyse Hradecky
In 1991, on a visit to Prague, I saw my first Hand Tzedakah box. It was a fabricated hollow arm, fastened with rivets like armor, reaching out with a slotted hand. Our solid cast bronze box is imposing and the lovely gesture of the hand speaks for itself. It’s saying what you’re supposed to do: you’re supposed to give. A substantial piece of sculpture and utility. A special gift for the synagogue or the home.
A Sterling Silver plate with a quote by Albert Schweitzer is affixed to the base.
“Example is not the main thing in influencing others. It is the only thing.”
—Albert Schweitzer
